Fellow Tarnished, FromSoftware has dropped patch 1.01.2 for Elden Ring Nightreign, and while it’s not the biggest update we’ve ever seen, it’s definitely one you’ll want to grab if you’ve been running into some annoying issues.

What Got Patched (RIP Overpowered Bows)
The most significant fix addresses a weapon bug that was making bows ridiculously overpowered when you added elemental damage to them. If you’ve been running around with a Magic/Lightning/Holy-infused bow dealing way more physical damage than it should, those days are (unfortunately) over.
They’ve also patched up some weapon skills that were dealing attribute damage and status effects even when they weren’t supposed to – you know how FromSoftware loves their very specific combat mechanics working exactly as intended.
Loot and Quest Fixes
Weapons with the “Projectile Damage Drop-Off Reduced” passive effect were mysteriously missing from chest and enemy loot pools, which explains why some of you might have been searching forever for certain gear. That’s been sorted.
There was also a quest bug with the “Find the Demon Merchant in Limveld” objective where the merchant wouldn’t show up under certain conditions. Nothing more frustrating than a missing NPC when you’re trying to complete your Guardian’s Remembrance tasks.
Boss Battle Improvements
Two boss-related issues got attention: Libra, Creature of Night was getting stuck in repetitive action loops, and Adel, Baron of Night was causing game stability issues during fights. Plus, there was a nasty bug where you couldn’t rescue teammates who were grabbed by Wormface’s grab attack – definitely not ideal for cooperative play.
The Reality Check
Here’s the thing though – FromSoftware admits that similar issues might still pop up under certain conditions, and they’re continuing to work on fixes. So don’t be surprised if you encounter some lingering quirks.
Make sure you’re running App Ver. 1.01.2 and Regulation Ver 1.01.3 (check the bottom right of your title screen), and remember that you’ll need this update for online play.
Final Thoughts
While this patch might not be the game-changing update some of you were hoping for, it’s exactly the kind of housekeeping that keeps Nightreign running smoothly. FromSoftware’s commitment to ongoing fixes shows they’re listening to the community – and let’s be honest, we’d rather have stable boss fights than deal with crashes mid-battle.
Keep an eye out for future updates, as the developers have promised more patches are coming to make your Nightreign experience even better. Until then, may your builds be balanced and your co-op rescues successful!
