EXPLORING THE WORLD OF ELDEN RING… AND BEYOND

Elden Ring Bingo Brawlers Returns With An Exciting Event

The beloved Elden Ring Bingo Brawlers competition is back and bigger than ever, delivering an electrifying fusion of strategy, speed, and spectacular gameplay for FromSoftware enthusiasts. We have put together what we’ve learned so far about this exciting event in this post.

Running from May 16th to May 19th, 2025, the Exhibition Weekend event raises the stakes by incorporating both the Elden Ring base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC โ€“ all wrapped in an innovative team-based format that promises to test even the most skilled Tarnished warriors.

It looks like the event is a trial run for Season 5 of Elden Ring Bingo Brawlers, designed to see if the new team-based mechanics and concepts hold up in practice. Therefore, Iโ€™d assume the Bingo Brawlers themselves wonโ€™t be updated with any official information about this eventโ€”at least not until the format has been fully tested.

What Makes Bingo Brawlers Special?

Bingo Brawlers isnโ€™t just another speedrunning tournament. Itโ€™s a head-to-head race where two teams compete to complete objectives on a randomized 5×5 bingo board. Each square represents a unique in-game challenge, from slaying notorious bosses to collecting rare items. The lockout format means once a team claims a square, itโ€™s off-limits to their rivals-forcing competitors to think fast and strategize on the fly.

This Season: Teamwork Takes Center Stage

This Bingo Brawlers event introduces an exciting duo format that spans both the original journey through the Lands Between and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Teams of two face off, with each member taking on a specialized roleโ€”one warrior tackles the base game challenges while their partner ventures into the DLC realm.

The competition centers around completing objectives that come in three varieties:

  • Base Game: Completed solely by the team’s base game specialist
  • DLC: Exclusive to the Shadow of the Erdtree expert
  • Cooperative/Crossover: These require true teamworkโ€”each player must complete their designated portion of the objective in their respective realm

This format rewards not just individual prowess but strategic coordination between teammates. Teams must communicate effectively and make tactical decisions about which objectives to prioritize as they race to claim victory on the bingo board.

Personally, Iโ€™m a big fan of crossover objectives that require each team member to complete a specific part. Iโ€™ve experimented with similar mechanics in the Weapon Mastery Challenge Generator, where I included goals like “Acquire 3 Dragon Hearts, at least one from the DLC”, or “Obtain 2 Fire and 2 Lightning Incantations, with one of each from the DLC”. So naturally, these kinds of collaborative challenges really appeal to me.

The Rules and Format

  • Teams of two race to complete bingo objectives.
  • The first to finish a line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) wins instantly; otherwise, the team with the most squares after two hours takes the victory.
  • No exploits or glitches allowed-just pure skill and knowledge of Elden Ringโ€™s vast world.
  • The event uses the Bingo Brawlers Weapon Randomizer, keeping every match unpredictable and exciting.
