Hey there, fellow Tarnished! The latest Nightreign Patch 1.01.5 is now live across all platforms, and while it’s a smaller update, it’s addressing two pretty critical issues that have been driving players absolutely mad in the Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest boss fight.

What’s Actually Fixed?
This patch is all about one thing: fixing the Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest boss fight. You know, that enhanced version of the already annoying bug duo that’s been making the rounds as part of the time-limited Everdark Sovereign events.
The Big Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where the battle against the Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest would get stuck and prevent players from completing the fight
- Fixed a bug where the boss could appear outside the battle area during the Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest fight
What Does This Mean for You?
If you’ve been banging your head against the wall trying to complete this Everdark Sovereign expedition, you can finally breathe a sigh of relief. These weren’t just minor annoyances โ they were game-breaking bugs that could completely ruin your run.
The “getting stuck” bug was particularly brutal because the Everdark Sovereign version splits into three bosses: Animus, Ascendant Light; Gnoster, Wisdom of Night; and Faurtis Stoneshield. When the fight would freeze up, you’d lose all your progress and precious time on what’s already considered a significantly more challenging encounter with an additional boss compared to the standard version.
The boss appearing outside the battle area was equally frustrating โ imagine trying to damage something you literally can’t reach! This would essentially soft-lock your entire expedition.
Are These Nerfs or Buffs?
These are purely quality-of-life fixes โ no nerfs or buffs to speak of, as the boss isn’t getting easier or harder. It’s just going to actually work properly now. The Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest is still considered one of the more manageable Everdark fights.
The Bottom Line
This patch won’t change your strategy for the fight โ you’ll still want to focus on the boss you prefer fighting with two players while the third distracts the other, and concentrate on dealing damage during Animus possessions. But at least now you can actually complete the damn thing without worrying about game-breaking bugs ruining your 15-20 minute expedition.
The update shows as App Ver. 1.01.5 and Regulation Ver 1.01.7, so make sure you’re updated before jumping back into the fray. Happy hunting, and may your bug fights actually be completable this time!
Now get out there and claim those 25 Sovereign Sigils you’ve been robbed of by broken boss fights!
